The Apprenticeship Skilled Trades Program gives journey-level tradespeople the opportunity to receive general education while developing managerial and technical skills needed to advance in their careers. Program participants are typically attempting to move from entry-level work into management; many companies require managers to have a degree above a high school diploma. The AST program allows students to earn a degree without repeating the trade classes they are already proficient in. Instead, a large portion of the coursework will take place as part of a federally-approved apprenticeship program. The Apprentice Leadership Program refines experienced construction laborers’ skills while growing their business and management skills. Credit for the apprenticeship hours will be given based on examination results.

Admission to Ozarks Technical Community College is open to all individuals who can benefit from its educational programs. A focus of the college mission is on the academic, career and personal goals of the student. OTC may admit you as a First-Time student just completing their high school, GED or HiSET requirements or as a Transfer student coming from another institution finishing up a certificate or degree.
