Culinary Arts - Associate of Applied Science

The A.A.S. in Culinary Arts Program teaches students the finer points of working in the foodservice industry. Foodservice is among the most competitive fields in the world, requiring patience, skill and a drive to succeed. This program will help you gain the knowledge and skills you need to find the job you want. Our instructors combine theory and classroom learning with kitchen demonstrations and hands-on practice. Program courses include Food Preparation and Theory, Soups and Sauces, Dining Room Management and much more. Students will also have the opportunity to earn real job experience by working at our on-campus restaurant. Graduates find work at restaurants, nutrition centers, catering companies and other foodservice organizations.

This program is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).

Admissions

Admission to Ozarks Technical Community College is open to all individuals who can benefit from its educational programs. A focus of the college mission is on the academic, career and personal goals of the student. OTC may admit you as a First-Time student just completing their high school, GED or HiSET requirements or as a Transfer student coming from another institution finishing up a certificate or degree.
