Manufacturing Technology is a cross-disciplinary program, which allows students to create personalized courses of study by taking several required courses along with electives chosen from any of our manufacturing-related disciplines. This program is designed to help employers create professional training plans for their employees that lead to degrees or certificates. Students work closely with their employers and academic advisors to chart educational paths that fit the needs of their positions.
Students can take courses from Industrial Systems Technology (IST), Drafting and Design Technology (DDT), Precision Machining Technology (PMT), Welding (WLD) and other related fields. Each student must consult with a department chair overseeing one of the above programs to create a plan of study. These can be made for both individual students or employer-organized groups. Contact the department chair for more information.
