Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary blend of mechanical, electrical, and computer control systems. The goal of this program is to prepare students to work with these systems in a variety of settings. Mechatronics professionals are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. This program provides new students with the entry-level skills they need to gain employment in a mechatronics-related career. Graduates can find jobs in high-tech manufacturing facilities, hospitals, hotels/resorts, utility companies, schools and retail chains. Students who obtain the Mechatronics Certificate may complete additional coursework to obtain the A.A.S. in Mechatronics degree.
