Precision machining is a highly technical manufacturing process that is essential to creating the products we use every day. The Precision Machining Technology Program trains students to use specialized tools and helps them develop the fundamental skills needed to precisely manufacture products and tooling. Students learn advanced techniques such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) setup and programming, Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and how to use advanced inspection equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
The certificate program is designed for students who are already working or want to enter the workforce as soon as possible. The program requirements allow students to graduate faster than those pursuing the A.A.S. degree. The specialized knowledge we teach our students makes them valuable assets to many companies. Our graduates have found a variety of positions with manufacturers including CNC operator, CNC programmer, quality control technician and general machinist.
