General Studies – Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts in General Studies degree is designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution but have not yet chosen a plan of study. Students pursuing this degree will complete the statewide general education courses, OTC 101 and 18 hours of electives numbered 100 or higher. Students can use these electives to explore different areas of interest while rounding out their education. This degree gives students maximum flexibility to create their own programs of study while still retaining the ability to transfer. Each student should choose courses with input from the institution he or she intends to transfer to. To ensure that courses transfer properly, contact an OTC academic adviser and the institution you will be attending.
